On this programme, students will also be introduced to the roles and responsibilities within a typical buying office and will be taught about the life cycle of a product from concept stage through to delivery on to the shop floor, and key aspects of trading. This includes design studio practice, formal lectures, group seminars, tutorials, lab work and practical workshops. There are regular tutorials and reviews which allow students to reflect and develop their work ready for the final presentation at the end of the year. Teaching is conducted through a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, group work and self-directed study. Assessment is through coursework (presentations, essays and reports).
