Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration has been designed to support a wide range of registered nurses who wish to undertake health visiting or school nursing. Students must have successfully achieved a secondment by a provider in order to access the course. This course is not available to international students. The course adopts a range of teaching and learning strategies designed to facilitate the learning of a professional group; aiming to be efficient and motivating in the transfer of theoretical and practical knowledge, and to engage positively in actively negotiating, constructing and evaluating learning. Students are required to complete a total of 120 credits at level six to gain the professional qualification and academic award. A total of 120 credits for the PG Dip will allow the professional SCPHN award.
