This versatile Biological Science degree is ideal if you have a broad interest in biology and would like some flexibility to tailor a course to your own interests –
especially if you’re considering a career in teaching, business, management or other science-related professions. Central to this course is a focus on specialist areas ranging from molecular biology to ecology. You can either maintain a broad study of the biological sciences or focus on a specific set of modules. We also offer a three-year BSc (Hons) course and a four-year BSc (Hons) course with an industrial placement year. If you do not meet our entry requirements for degree level study, BSc (Hons) with a Foundation Year is available. Our Biological Sciences degree provides many career routes for graduates. It provides a particularly useful breadth of knowledge for those who aspire to teaching the subject, with many graduates pursuing teaching careers. Recent graduates have secured roles as environmental auditors with the Royal Air Force, mental health workers with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and bioinformatics managers.
