The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering students receives a broad background in areas such as electromagnetics and optics, signal processing and systems, and micro-systems and nano-systems. Any student wishing to receive a BS - MS (5-year degree), to be a double-major or to seek a second Bachelor’s degree in EE should consult the UCF catalog and the EE coordinator, located in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. A student must be an official EE major to earn the BS Electrical Engineering degree or the BS - MS accelerated degree in EE. The Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), which is a specialized accrediting board recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation (COPA) and the U.S. Department of Education.

Students must have a Bachelor (Honours) consisting of four or more years of full-time study, or a Bachelor degree following a National Certificate or National Diploma. International students also have the following other English language requirements: a minimum 220 on TOEFL (computer-based).
