Forensic Science is the profession which serves the scientific needs of the justice system. The program at University of Central Florida has been designed to provide the student with an educational background in the professional specialty of criminalistics. The principal job of the forensic scientist is to scientifically examine physical evidence gathered at the scene of a suspect criminal action. The criminalist may work on physical evidence such as blood, hairs, fibers, or pharmaceutical and clandestine drug preparations.
