Admission Requirements

The recommended entry profile for the PhD Program in Individual, Family and Society: an interdisciplinary vision is that of a person interested in research and the acquisition of advanced and in-depth knowledge on the most pressing issues and problems that fall within the field of knowledge on individuals, families, communication and interpersonal relationships and society or in the interaction between all these dimensions, adopting a multidisciplinary approach and vision. It is aimed at people who wish to develop the necessary research skills to carry out research projects with autonomy and quality and who are motivated by the transfer of the knowledge acquired to society in general, to their field of professional activity in particular and to the development of studies and research in their area of interest. Applicants must have a previous level of training in applied social research acquired in the corresponding Master's degree, which will be assessed after a personalised study of the academic record of the studies that have been carried out previously. Likewise, a level of knowledge of English must be accredited, i.e. at least B1 level according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages, which enables, as a basic requirement, the handling of sources in this language. Admission to the program may include the requirement for specific additional training. In such a case, the time required for their completion will not count towards the established limit.
