The Master’s Degree in Ignatian Spirituality (Ignatian Master’s Degree) is an interdisciplinary program that harmonizes History, Anthropology, Theology and Studies on Spirituality as complementary perspectives for an integrative and comprehensive understanding of the Ignatian Charism. Through diverse contents and aspects that make up Ignatian Spirituality, the knowledge of the experiences, texts and fundamental contexts in which it is inspired is fomented, through reading from direct sources and selected bibliography. It is also intended to help to understand the mission of the Society of Jesus and other Ignatian-inspired institutions in the contemporary world from the perspective of the motivations and Charism that inspire and sustain them.

The Master’s Degree in Ignatian Spirituality takes encouragement from the words of Pope Benedict XVI to General Congregation 35 (21/02/2008): “The Society of Jesus must continue to train its members with great care, in Science and Virtue, without settling for mediocrity. ”Thus, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas aspires to offer this program in Ignatian education and training for all members of the Ignatian family and network, and to all those who wish to deepen their knowledge in this Charism and Spirituality.
