The aim of this CAP master's degree, as it was called before, is to complete the training of a degree or bachelor's degree in subjects related to the teaching profession. To this end, it will provide solid training in adolescent psychology, didactics, methodology, educational legislation, knowledge and use of technological resources, attention to diversity, tutoring and educational organisation, all framed in a culture of collaboration and work in teaching teams.


As part of the teacher training program, the internship for a period of at least 150 hours is a basic pillar in the training of future teachers. The aim is for the student to gain a reflective and critical experience of educational practice in the school environment through participation in the life of the centre, always accompanied and assisted by a tutor from their speciality.


This master's degree in teacher training offers the following specialisations: English, Geography and History, Spanish Language and Literature, Philosophy, Biology and Geology, Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics, Technology, Educational Guidance and Physical Education.

Admission Requirements

It is required to be in possession of a bachelor's degree, architect or engineer according to the university system prior to that established in RD 1393/2007. If you are a graduate, technical architect or technical engineer, you can access those studies of the master's degree in teacher training whose access conditions allow it.
Students who come from non-Spanish speaking countries or whose mother tongue is not Spanish must provide certification of having acquired a B2 level of Spanish or higher. If they do not have this certification, a level test will be carried out at the university itself, and it is essential to have it in order to be able to enrol in the master's degree.
In order to obtain the master's degree to become a teacher of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, it is an essential requirement to take the credits corresponding to the practicum. In compliance with article 13.5 of Law 26/2015, of 28 July, on the modification of the child and adolescent protection system, in order to be able to do the practicum it will be essential to show the university a negative certificate of conviction for crimes of a sexual nature prior to the awarding of the placement centre and its implementation, being equally possible that the centre may require its presentation in order to be admitted as a student on the practicum.
