If you are an enthusiastic and motivated 16-17 year old student, looking for a summer experience to inspire and enlighten you, our Warwick Pre-University Summer School is for you. You will experience a great mix of academic and personal development sessions as well as social and cultural activities.
If you choose the Taste of Social Sciences course you will be introduced to and explore ideas beyond the typical school curriculum to help you discover what it is like to study these subjects at degree level. The programme is delivered by academics from the relevant academic department, with each department boasting top rankings, internationally recognised academics and cutting-edge research. Example modules included in the programme: An introduction to Law An introduction to Philosophy An introduction to Education An introduction to Politics An introduction to Sociology
You will have 24 hours teaching contact time during the 10 days and will receive a University of Warwick Certificate of Attendance at the end of the programme

Admission Requirements

Students applying for this programme must be aged 16-17 and considering applying or have already applied to university. There are no subject specific criteria but you should be a passionate and enthusiastic learner. Our Summer School course is taught in English so students must be able to demonstrate a good level of English language and comprehension. We assess students' English ability through their application and correspondence.
