The Master of Civil Engineering programme trains you to become an expert in the science and technology of construction and prepares you to take a leading role in the sustainable development of our built environment. It provides you with the broad foundational knowledge that is necessary to realize structures that are safe, durable, energy efficient, cost efficient, healthy and comfortable, and with all necessary skills to tackle the complex scientific and technological problems that the construction sector is facing today and in the future.

Diploma requirements

Candidates can be admitted on the basis of a diploma that is equivalent to the Bachelor of Science in Engineering: Civil Engineering at KU Leuven.

Language requirements

Applicants with a university degree or high school degree earned in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the USA are exempted from this requirement: the degree and transcripts suffice, provided they confirm that the entire study was completed in English.

Additional requirements

In order to be considered for admission, applicants are required to submit a GRE test. Students who obtained a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in one of the EEA countries, the UK, or Switzerland are exempted from providing GRE scores.
