Electromechanics sets the world in motion. In the Master of Electromechanical Engineering Technology programme, you will  learn to realise and control movements in machines and devices. During lectures and labs, you will learn about the state of the art in the field of hydraulic drives and servomotors, and also how to devise a creative concept and develop it into a usable design in accordance with current standards using powerful calculation software.

You can specialise in one of the following options:

  • Mechatronics - This option relates to designing, developing, and optimising automated mechanical machines. Supported by a strong background in electricity and mechanics, you dive more deeply into aspects such as advanced design methods, electronic operations, controls, measures and drives, data communication, and visualisation methods.
  • Management - This option provides a broad introduction into contemporary management theory and practice. You define and compare key aspects, basic concepts and approaches in management and strategy and are able to analyse and interpret the complexity of managing an enterprise/organisation.

Besides the specialisation option, you also have a unique opportunity to complement your programme with a dedicated focus. Within each focus you are getting acquainted with state-of-the-art technologies, methodologies and applications in a specific research area, making use of the renowned expertise of the different research groups over the different campuses of the Faculty of Engineering Technology.

The following focuses are offered:

  • Clinical Engineering
  • Advanced Robotics
  • Ecotechnologies
  • Automotive Engineering
