The Design and System Sciences (DSS) course trains students, through research and for research, in the field of engineering and management of complex systems design (design engineering & management, system engineering). The overall aim is twofold: on the one hand, students learn the methodology required to specify, innovate, and dimension a complex technical system whilst guaranteeing its performance in technical terms and for usage. On the other hand, students are involved in designing and improving the performance of the industrial process of design, and of validation & verification, in companies that produce goods and services. The programme teaches the appropriate methods and processes for handling cost control and the technical and organisational specificities of multidisciplinary and collaborative design-validation. Lastly, students learn about the innovation processes that connect research projects to development projects, along with the management techniques for these processes.

In order to apply to one of the programmes of the master, please select the programme you are interested in under the "Year 1 & 2 Master's programmes" tab .
