The objective of the Earth Sciences License is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and fundamental skills in the field of Geosciences (tectonics, hydrogeology, sedimentology, energy and mineral resources, geochemistry, geomorphology, magmatic and sedimentary petrology). It allows a continuation of study in Master in France and abroad, in any specialty in Geology. These fundamentals in Geosciences integrate the basic scientific disciplines (mathematics, physics and chemistry) but also computer tools and linguistic skills. The training favors the naturalist approach and the experimental approach, basic skills in Geosciences, by combining high-level teaching through Research and professionalizing teaching in connection with companies, by learning many observation, analysis and measurement techniques used in Geosciences. The knowledge transmitted to the students will enable them to build their professional project through, in particular, five field internships and an internship in research or in a company. The License provides students with an opening on societal, environmental and climatic issues and gives them the fundamentals for better integration into Geoscience professions, in particular those related to energy transition and innovative regional planning.
