Department of Energy and Resources Engineering Undergraduate Programme By Kangwon National University |TopUniversities

Programme overview

Main Subject

Engineering - Electrical and Electronic

Degree

BA

Study Level

Undergraduate

Study Mode

On Campus

Department of Energy and Resources Engineering is concerned with the design and development of mineral and energy resources including hydrocarbon and renewable energy resources. The prominent faculties and the specialized educational facilities organize 8 sub-majors(i.e. geophysics, geochemistry, mining engineering, geological engineering, rock mechanics & rock engineering, mineral & material processing, petroleum engineering, and energy economics). To satisfy the global research trends, we have enlarged their applications to environment-friendly energy resources development, design of tunnel and underground space, groundwater remediation, environmental restoration, geotechnical geophysics, mineral processing, material recycling and resources economy. Renewable energies dealing with the global climate change and future energy have been researched actively. The department has been supported by KEMREP(Korea Energy and Mineral Resources Engineering Program) managed by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea. This program encourages a field-oriented curriculum to cultivate the skillful engineers who meet the industrial needs. It has been certified from ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) for official accreditation to assure the quality of energy resources engineering program, which maintains and establishes continuously the engineering education answer to the global standard of engineers.
