The increasing complexity of international production and relations, combined with the growing focus on environmental, social, and corporate governance issues, has led to a steadily rising demand for international economic consulting services. Providing sound economic advice requires the ability to analyse complex and large datasets, integrate this analysis with knowledge of economic business principles, and present the findings effectively through clear written and oral communication.

  • How does the regulation and pricing of CO2 emissions affect the global production networks of firms, industries, and countries?
  • How can businesses and policymakers enhance the resilience of supply chains amidst geopolitical and trade tensions?

The MSc in International Economic Consulting (IEC) equips students to address such critical questions, providing better decision-making capabilities for businesses, governments, and international organisations. Developed in close collaboration with major industry players, the IEC programme is designed to prepare students for a variety of roles requiring both data analysis expertise and a strong foundation in economic business principles.

The IEC programme offers:

  • Up-to-date theoretical knowledge essential for applied economic analyses,
  • Relevant quantitative and empirical methods for sectoral studies, policy-impact analyses, and forecasting,
  • Training in concepts and techniques for implementing national and international project consulting,
  • And, last but not least, exposure to an exciting international environment.

In summary, the IEC programme bridges theory and practice by teaching students how to apply the science of economics to solve real-world problems and make informed decisions across a wide range of fields.
