The healthcare system is changing. We have a changing demographic in society with more elderly people and fewer young people. We have growth in lifestyle diseases, rising healthcare costs and fewer warm hands. All of this calls for new solutions to prevent, cure and improve efficiency, and technology plays an important role here. With a Bachelor of Science in Health Technology, you can help shape the technology-based healthcare sector of the future.

During the program, you will learn, among other things, how to develop medical equipment and software that can increase efficiency in the healthcare sector, improve patient experience, and give doctors new options for diagnostics and treatment.

You will gain knowledge about topics such as telemedicine, wearables and the interaction between technology and people, and you will gain insight into the organization of the healthcare sector. You will also have a high-level understanding of anatomy and physiology, and you will work with various forms of biological instrumentation to, for example, collect health data from patients or monitor biological markers from the body.

As a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Health Technology, you can build a bridge between health science and engineering, and you have both methodological insight and training in facilitating health technology innovation processes.

The Bachelor of Engineering degree program in Health Technology lasts 3.5 years and includes a one-semester internship.

Afterwards, you can go directly into the job market or start your own business. You can also continue your studies to become a civil engineer (+2 years) if you have chosen certain courses during your education.
