In the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering program, you work with the basic principles of mechanics. You calculate forces and movements, investigate the durability of materials, and find out how to use energy most efficiently. You also learn to design products and develop technology-based solutions based on people's different needs and always with a focus on sustainability.

As a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, you have a lot of math and physics. You use theory to solve concrete problems in all semesters, and you have the opportunity to specialize according to your interests.

Mechanical engineering plays an important role in much technological innovation, and the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is probably broader than you might think. You will work with many of society's small and large problems within both climate, health and digital transformation.

Whether you are developing a running shoe that relieves joint strain, an implant for a knee, a robot that can monitor biodiversity, an energy-saving heat pump or a new type of heart valve for sick patients, you need to understand how movement, pressure and materials interact.

From the very first semester, you are trained to think creatively in your engineering work, and you have the opportunity to collaborate with companies on your projects. This helps ensure that you can always see a direct purpose for what you are learning.

In the fifth semester, you will do a paid internship in a company. You also have the opportunity to participate in an entrepreneurship course where you work on your own technology-based business idea.

As a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, you can enter the job market directly, or you can choose to continue studying (+2 years) for a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Technology.
